Leadership and Socialization – Nature Versus Nurture

Socialization means learning cultures norms, behaviors, and more through a social setting. Socialization skills are obtained at infancy and evolved into adulthood and throughout the remainder of the life of an individual. Distinct cultures have social rules that contribute to one’s learning of skills. The community of the individual and peers can also impact socialization.

Socialization has a massive influence on somebody’s self-identity and impacts how they function, be it in corporate America or in a college setting. Many many managers underestimate how it will affect their workers and the importance of socialization. This ought to be accounted for in the business plan. Both business managers and teachers must be knowledgeable about socialization and the way leadership affects. Socialization helps determine how they view themselves, and also that they are, what they become. Socialization and other behaviors that are learned by the environment are cases of nurture. This is the area where one’s personality, behaviors, social skills, etc. are learned in somebody’s environment that they are surrounded by. Nature is also an element which affects someone’s personality. Nature is the part of an individual that’s influenced by their genetic makeup. Everybody includes born instincts and personality traits.

Parents play a big role in a child’s developing personality. To start things off, since the kid is their offspring that the kid has a part of each parent’s genes. Someone’s genes come from their parents. As a baby and through childhood parents also strongly influence how the child is nurtured. They are that they’re around all of the time and their main source of survival. A youngster learns largely in their own parents. Later in life, kids are greatly affected by their own peers. After a kid goes to college he or she has to socialize with kids who’ve been raised in various environments. Children experience a whole lot of different cultures and fresh personalities when they go to school and meet new men and women. Peer acceptance becomes a big portion of a children’s self-esteem and they’re strongly influenced by their peers and friends, maybe more-so now than their parents. Teachers also have a direct effect on a person during the college years.

People who have higher self-esteem and/or leadership skills are not as likely to be influenced by their peers. Their surroundings will have a direct impact on them but not as much as people that are striving to blend with those they’re surrounded by. People with leadership skills will take their own path and create their own destiny when guiding. Leaders may have a strong impact on people’s character and how they are influenced by their environment.

People who have a lot of leadership skills and people who need to have a leader to follow affect each other and create a sort of cycle. Leaders direct other people, but they require the support of those they direct to be able to be a pioneer. Leadership is not merely taking control and having the ability to direct people but being able to relate to people also. Nature could be a big element in the leadership traits one possesses. Their genes could be a part of the strong and directing personality, and it may be a part of the way in which a person relates to other people and if they genuinely look after them. Also, cultivate can be an influence. Life experiences can reinforce a person in order that they know to be. Before they try to comprehend others, people must comprehend their selves. A leader has to take control of her or his emotions. Once they can restrain themselves they are a leader and could direct others.

Leaders, exactly like everyone else, experience feelings of this natural man such as fear and doubt. The difference is a pioneer doesn’t let those feelings overcome him or her. Leaders will not be directed from these negative emotions and refuse to let them restrain them. They have to guide others and are the ones in control. Because they are human and expertise emotions very similar to other people they could still relate to others. A leader has to be motivated to conquer their negative or degrading feelings. It is OK for one to face and experience emotion but a leader cannot be overcome by them. Motivation helps you push during the hard times and use these to make them more powerful.

The third feature is motivation. A leader is somebody who is self-motivated and watches without the help of the others what has to be performed and what actions have to be taken. Motivation is about taking initiative. People can lead by example and encourage others. The next feature is the ability to relate to others. Is prepared to listen to and empathize with sincerely and others care about them and what’s happening in their life.

Empathy is having the ability to feel for others as they are feeling and experience what they are going through with them. So they can feel like them If one empathizes they try to see things sees them. They try to feel for them if they sympathize, as individuals do, instead of just feeling awful for them.

When sympathizing or empathizing a significant ability is active listening. One in pain requires someone to listen and listen. If the listener zones outside or is just pretending to listen the speaker can inform and it could make problems worse. They may not feel important or feel as though no one cares. Those in difficulty or pain just need someone to listen while they talk. Respond verbally or an active listener does not need to place their input in. It’s most effective to react through facial expressions and body language. It will generally show through their responses and reply if someone is interested.

Social skills would be the culmination of all the other traits in this class. Many social skills have to be discovered, including empathizing and relating to others. It can be hard to be an active listener and know if it’s time and when the right time to respond is. It has worries for them and takes some time. A few don’t pay as much attention, although it isn’t that they are selfish. Many have to get this skill.
